Course Objective
First aid level 3 is designed to equip people with a high level of first aid skill and knowledge ensuring that, short of a health care professional being available, the patient will receive the best level of care

Emergency scene management Medico-legal aspects of first aid Anatomy and physiology Primary survey Cardio pulmonary resuscitation and choking Secondary survey Bleeding and wound dressing Burns and burn dressing Fractures, dislocations and splinting Epilepsy and seizures Clinical shock Asthma Stroke, Angina and Heart Attacks Diabetic emergencies Environmental emergencies Head, neck an spinal injuries Snake Bites Poisons, bites and stings Chest, hand and eye injuries Abdomino-Pelvic injuries Management of foreign impaled objects Soft tissue injuries Emergency childbirth Behavioural problems Water accidents, drowning, near drowning

Cost and Venue
The cost is R1100 per person and is conducted at our premises in Westlake. If you have a group of 8 or more people we can make arrangements to conduct the training At your premises by arrangement. At the end of the level 3 course the students will write a short theory exam. They will also be examined on their CPR, splinting, bandaging and patient care practical skills. The level 3 certificate is valid for three years. The level 3 refresher course should be undertaken before your certificate expires. Refresher course is 3 full days.
