Course Curriculum:
Emergency scene management Medico-legal aspects of first aid Anatomy and physiology Primary survey Cardio pulmonary resuscitation and choking Secondary survey Bleeding and wound dressing Burns and burn dressing Fractures, dislocations and splinting Epilepsy and seizures Clinical shock Asthma Stroke, Angina and Heart Attacks Diabetic emergencies Environmental emergencies Head, neck an spinal injuries Snake Bites

Cost and Venue
The cost is R740 per person and is conducted at our premises in Westlake. If you have a group of 8 or more people we can make arrangements to conduct the training At your premises by arrangement.
At the end of the SAMSA Elementary First Aid course the students will write a theory exam. They will also be examined on their CPR, splinting, bandaging and patient care practical skills. The elementary first aid certificate is valid for five years.
The certification is issued in accordance with the requirements of the Merchant Shipping (Training and Certification) Regulations, 1999, its Code and the requirements of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended in 1995, and STCW Code Reference A-VI/1-3
